The 4th Annual Juried Student Art Show

Dear Siena Community,

The Creative Arts department of Siena College is proud to present the 2014 annual juried student art show. The exhibition will be open to the public in the Foy Hall Lobby until May 2nd during regular campus hours. A closing awards reception for the artists will be held on Friday, May 2nd from 6:00 – 7:30pm.

The exhibition features artwork created by students in the Creative Arts. “Our students produce great work in digital photography, painting, drawing, graphic design, and video” says Assistant Professor of Creative Arts Scott Nelson Foster, MFA, “We’re always impressed with the work in the juried show.” The faculty in the Creative Arts offer students an educational experience that encourages them to expand disciplinary boundaries and find creative solutions to visual problems.

This year Julie Pamkowski, an area artist and MFA candidate at SUNY Albany, juried the artwork. She derives inspiration from the media, as well personal experiences as a woman to create work that explores cultural expectations of women and cultivated ideals of the female physique.
