Want to give your students extra attempts on quizzes or grant extra time for a timed quiz? Once you publish a quiz you have the option to moderate it. Moderate allows you to grant students extra attempts, grant extra time and manually unlock quiz attempts.

To moderate a quiz follow the instructions below. We have also included a quick video tutorial. For detailed information with screen shots see the Canvas Guide links below.

1. In the course navigation click the quizzes link.
2. Click the name of the quiz.
3. Click Moderate This Quiz link in the upper right corner.
4. Click on the edit (pencil) icon for the student.
